CHARLOTTE LIBRARY

This library in the suburbs of Charlotte crafts a public interior and exterior space for the local community to inhabit. Light filters through the north facing facade into the depths of the building devusing through frosted office walls and other private rooms. Fabric and textile shield the atria from direct illumination while bouncing light fills the book stacks. The space is designed to grow with the communities needs and encourage conversations in passing while still providing private studying and reading spaces.
