INTRO TO COMPUTERS
Core Elective

The following 3 assignments were completed in short succession with the first tech elective at UCLA. Their focus was on retaining and applying both physical fabrication, and digital technical skills to be used for the remainder of the graduate program. All three assignments focused on assembly and joinery.
Assignment 01 consisted of a tool box design specific for our own use. Anthony and myself made a pair of twin toolboxes that interlock and assist in site evaluations holding writing instruments, notebooks and coffee cups.
Assignment 02 focused on a wooden CNC joint. Samantha Radice and myself built a specifically nonlinear joint to try to address the problem of curvilinear edge conditions and pin connections.
Assignment 03 focused on 3D printing and our team of 3 produced a combination ball and notching joint that holds fast to one angle but it's easily flexible for many angles.
